Let it Be, No One To Depend On

Listening to “Let It Be”, a song with a fascinating history behind it–followed a dream in which Paul McCartney’s deceased mother, Mary, appeared and told him not to worry about the Beatles’ slow breakup. Details which enrich the song for me: I used to sing it to my son, Rohit, who was 5 years then: and I would change the “Let it Be” to “Rohit B” and “Rohit C”.

The song would hold him spellbound.

In my Windows Media list, fascinatingly, this song is followed by “No One to Depend On” and “You Never Give Me Your Money.”

What sweet melancholy.

All this after I just woke up from a persistent and strange dream.
